In the third year of Microsoft's "Make What's Next" campaign, we wanted to go beyond just creating awareness and invoke urgency and action in young girls to stay in STEM.

Building on the startling insight that, while many girls want to change the world with STEM, only 6.7% of them stay in those fields long enough to graduate. We used some of our latest technology to inspire the next generation of girls to stay in STEM—and change the world.

We partnered with LinkedIn and created a #MakeWhatsNext Career Explorer, where girls could mix and match their interests to see what kind of exciting job awaits them in the future. Over 35,000 future careers were generated.
